Dear record companies and Musicmatch

Just wanted to let you know what I think of the progress of your crusade to bring music to the masses in digital format. I know you’re dying to get it done, since you have so much music that you think we should hear. So, I tried out MusicMatch Jukebox’s Download service. Pretty nifty, actually. Napster relaunches…and I don’t give a damn.

So, on October 29th of 2003, Napster will relaunch. From the looks of things, they'll price under iTunes (expected to launch a client for the other 95% of the computer-using world next week) at $.95 a song, and $9.95 per album. That's nifty neato. But on to the "I don't give a damn" part of this entry... The music business has its collective head so far up its collective ass that it will (as PCline once eloquently stated) "take a skilled team of proctologists" to remove it. Read more [...]
