And you’ll feel like a miserable lump of excrement for the rest of your life. You won’t be able to sleep. You’ll feel haunted every moment. You’ll always wonder if I’m about to sneak up behind you, lop off your head, and feed it to my snakes.

My heartfelt thanks to the WordPress developer community – without whom blogs would be boring and functionless. Special thanks to Tom Morris for brand consulting on the Khaosx name.

Etymology of Khaosx:

I was looking for a personalized license plate a long time ago, and just couldn’t come up with anything. Georgia limits tags to 7 characters.

At the time, I was working for a legal newspaper, and had taken to signing my name as K. Austin Newman, in the style of the pretentious lawyers that I worked with. After a while, it just stuck, and ever since then, I have always signed my name as K. Austin Newman.

Tom Morris came up with the ultimate tag based on that. K. Austin became khaos – X (X being Roman numeral for 10). I never got the license plate, by the way. Years later, when I registered my first domain name, registering your own name had not become fashionable, so I decided to go with khaosx.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle. The other half is extreme violence. And that’s one to grow on.
